Abbas-Mustan’s “Race 2” might have opened to mixed reviews, but the film seems to be minting money at the box office. The action thriller has managed to earn Rs513 million in its opening weekend.
Made at Rs600 million, the film released across 3,200 screens. It went on to earn Rs150 million on Friday, Rs200 million on Saturday and Rs150 million on Sunday.
The movie is a sequel to 2008 film “Race”.
While Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor reprise their roles, the the new additions to the franchise are John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel.
