However, the 47-year-old matinee idol masked his pain well over the phone as he regaled us about playing a protagonist who led a sheltered life but accidently finds himself in a train bound for South India. His journey into the real world and finding true love forms the backbone of the comedy.

“I haven’t done a comedy in years and it felt good to do a film with Rohit Shetty, who’s extremely intelligent and talented. He’s one of the most exceptional filmmakers I have worked with,” said Khan who has starred in over 70 films.

Touted as India’s biggest movie star, Khan is known for his legendary charm and incredible box office power. What’s more, he even lets us in on whether he was truly comfortable wrapping the ethnic garment lungi (traditional garment worn by South Indian men) around him.
