Dubai: Two up-and-coming UAE based bands will do their thing and blow you away onstage at The Rockwell Bar in the Capitol Hotel this Friday. The first act, Sho? will be performing together live for the first time since they began in March 2009. Band members Zara Quiroga (vocals), Rizal Khan (Guitar), Quay Evano (Bass) and Justin Blincoe (Drums) come from different countries and musical backgrounds but have united on a mutual love of hard-core rock music.
The second band, Good Fryday, is the only glam rock band to hit the Middle East with their trashy raw rock‘n'roll, loud drums, shockingly tight jeans, fur, make-up, and '80s hair.
The band began in the early days of 2004 when lead singer and guitar player Jaxx Glitter Rose decided to jump around in his bedroom to the tunes of Guns‘n'Roses, Led Zeppelin and Motley Crue. He joined forces with rhythm guitarist, Bellamy Bass, backing singer Sindy and drummer Liam and produced rock such as never has been heard in the Middle East before.
These two pioneering rock bands will keep you entertained from dusk til dawn this Friday.
