It’s getting funny down south in the UAE this summer. The United Nations of Comedy, a collective of four comedians including Maz Jobrani, Aron Kader, Mike Batayeh and Nemr Abou Nassar, will perform two two-hour shows at the du Forum, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on July 4 and 5. The performance, part of SummerFest Abu Dhabi, will also feature special appearances by Mohammed Kamal, Omar Allouba and Hilal Bilal.

Based in Qatar, the foursome have taken their Arab-meets-the-West brand of humour to sold-out venues in the region.

“The family-orientated show is seriously funny comedy, with a unique experience based on the workings of the actual United Nations forum,” explained Sultan Al Muhairi, festival manager of SummerFest Abu Dhabi. Tickets, priced at Dh150, are available on summerfestabudhabi.ae.

The capital’s festival starts with Broadway hit Stomp on June 27, performing six shows at Emirates Palace. The 1 hour, 40-minute shows, at 3pm and 7pm, have eight performers using brooms and bin lids among other everyday items to create music and drama. Ticekts, Dh150 at ticketmaster.ae.
