- Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli, sings at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, DC.
Italian tenor Andrea ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ Bocelli will perform at the du Arena, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on March 22. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday.
Bocelli, who last performed in the capital in 2009, will perform at a fully seated open-air venue and will be accompanied by an orchestra, organiser Flash Entertainment said.
The Tuscan-born singer’s appearance is part of the two-week du World Music Festival which kicks off on March 22 and which will be held at multiple venues in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The festival will also see performances by Egyptian crooner Amr Diab, Emirati singer Hussain Al Jasmi and Egyptian actress and singer Sherine. They will be joined by Indian fusion group Medieval Punditz, Bengaluru rock band Thermal and A Quarter, Indian playback singer Sonu Nigam and south Indian folk musician Raghu Dixit.
Tickets to the Bocelli concert are priced at Dh295 for B Reserve, Dh495 for A Reserve, Dh695 for Premium, Dh995 for VIP and Dh1,595 for VVIP. Go to thinflash.ae, andreabocelli.com/tickets or call 800 35274.
du has not confirmed where the other artists would be playing or at which venue, which includes Dubai Media City Amphitheatre and the Dubai Tennis Stadium, and on which day. Ticket information is also not available for the other acts.
