Ashutosh Gowariker’s 2008 epic love story Jodhaa Akbar will be showcased at the Marrakech International Film Festival December 5. The filmmaker is ecstatic.

“I am extremely happy and would really like to thank the Marrakech International Film Festival for selecting Jodhaa Akbar. This is an honour for me to showcase my film along with the greatest stars and filmmakers presenting their films at the festival,” Gowariker said in a statement.

Jodhaa Akbar, set in 16th century, is about a marriage of alliance, which paves way for true love between a great Mughal emperor, Akbar and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa. It featured Hrithik Roshan as Akbar and Aishwarya Rai as Jodhaa.
