Renovated Ain Al Faida Resort to open
The historic Ain Al Faida Resort in Abu Dhabi’s World Heritage Site and oasis city of Al Ain came under the spotlight at the EMEA Hospitality Summit in Istanbul. The just renovated 30-year-old family resort will reopen on New Year’s Eve. Ain Al Faida, which translates as “the flowing source”, is expected to be a four-star resort with a 26-bedroomed boutique hotel and 57 one- and two-bedroom villas. Leisure activities will include tennis and basketball, football, quad biking and bicycling, pony rides for children and pony-and-trap rides of the extensive grounds. An 800-seater hospitality tent has been created on the resort’s lake.
Arabian Adventures launches 2012-2013 brochures

Etihad bags best long-haul airline award
Etihad Airways has won Best Long-haul Airline at Belgium’s 15th annual Travel Magazine Awards, held in Antwerp. This is the first time the airline has won the prestigious Belgian travel industry award, beating five other long-haul carriers operating to and from Brussels International Airport. The judging panel consisted of almost 400 Belgian travel industry professionals, tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, and cruise lines. The airline’s codeshare partner over Brussels, Brussels Airlines won the award for Best Short-haul Airline.
