Lamar Odom, the Khloe & Lamar star better known as a professional basketball player, may not be in rehab as suggested by a report out late Wednesday. According to TMZ, which came out Thursday morning with an updated report citing sources close to the ballplayer, Odom may be merely “off the radar” relative to the Kardashian family.

According to People, which cited two sources, Odom, husband to Khloe Kardashian Odom, entered rehab Wednesday morning and left Thursday afternoon with an assistant. He checked himself into a treatment centre for drug and alcohol addiction. “He realised he needs help,” one source said.

Additionally, sources later told E! News the same.

It’s less than a week after Odom was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He was stopped early Friday morning for going too slow on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, driving in a “serpentine manner”, police said, and going past three exits before stopping as the CHP tried to pull him over.

Odom, 33, was seen cabbing it around the Los Angeles area over the weekend, according to TMZ, which points out that any entry to rehab must have happened between the weekend and the People report.

The magazine did not say when Odom entered rehab, or where he is.

According to the website, the NBA free agent’s wife didn’t know her husband had taken the rehab route — they reportedly haven’t spoken since she gave him an ultimatum: rehab or we’re done, TMZ said.

There has been no reaction on Kardashian Odom’s Twitter page, though she tweeted Sunday, “As much as I wish I were made of steel ... I’m not. I’m pretty damn close to it though hehe.”
