First up, some of the best beauty news we’ve heard in ages: Top US make-up brand Laura Mercier Cosmetics is arriving at Bloomingdale’s Dubai from September.
Known for her hand-working yet luxurious products, Mercier’s range has won awards for its tinted moisturiser (Dh178) while I can personally testify that the Secret Camouflage Concealer (Dh118) is a must for anyone with something to cover up. The case contains two shades for a perfect match, and the concealer finds that magic balance: creamy enough to blend but dry enough to last all day.
Her lovely bath and body range and fragrances will also be stocked, while the make-up collection for autumn-winter, “Cinema Noir”, is inspired by old Hollywood and includes seven new limited edition products. The range will be in the Beauty Department on the Ground Floor of Bloomingdale’s-Dubai, The Dubai Mall in September.
There’s also hair news, with the launch of Molton Brown’s Targeted Formula haircare collection on September 10. There are 11 items in the range (five pairs of shampoo and conditioners, plus a deep-treatment mask) using plant extracts to treat hair issues from flat, lacklustre hair to chemically-coloured or over heat-styled. Plus, these bottles are so pretty. Available at Molton Brown, Dubai Mall.
Meanwhile September’s GlamBox will include an all-natural face mask by Herbline Essentials, a Dubai-based ayurvedic range. The Papaya Face Mask is suited to all skin types and is one of the items in the GlamBox, a monthly delivery of new beauty product samples. Subscription is Dh50 a month.
