After a successful 2012, actor Akshay Kumar enters 2013 by shooting for the Hindi remake of Tamil action thriller Thuppakki.
“Started shooting my first film in the New Year, the Hindi remake of Thuppakki! Would love to get your good wishes today,” Kumar tweeted Thursday.
For the Hindi remake, Kumar once again teams up with Sonakshi Sinha with whom he worked in Joker and Rowdy Rathore.
The original was directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who wields the megaphone for the Hindi remake too.
The year 2012 was a splendid year for Kumar with as many as five hits — he had six outings and out of them Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore, Oh My God! and Khiladi 786 earned profits. The only spoiler was Joker.
