Ready for confetti? RedFestDXB is back with yet another colourful line-up of chiselled pop stars.

The fifth edition of the music fest is taking place on February 8 and 9 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, headlined by The Chainsmokers and Kesha.

Gulf News tabloid! breaks down the eight acts who are set to take the stage.

DAY ONE (FEBRUARY 8) DOORS OPEN AT 6PM

The Chainsmokers

Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart are chart-topping American duo The Chainsmokers. They broke out with their 2014 hit #Selfie. Two years later, their single Don’t Let Me Down won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Record. The Chainsmokers went to No 1 with their track Closer, featuring Halsey. The pair released their debut album Memories… Do Not Open in 2017.


Russ

American hip-hop artist Russ (born Russel Vitale) is known for writing, mixing, producing, mastering and engineering his own songs. He broke into the Billboard Hot 100 with his singles What They Want and Losin Control. The 25-year-old released his debut studio album There’s Really a Wolf in 2017.


Kelli-Leigh

Kelli-Leigh is a singer-songwriter from South London. She is best known as the vocalist on two UK No 1 singles: Duke Dumont’s I Got U (ft Jax Jones) and Second City’s I Wanna Feel.


Anthony Touma

Anthony Touma is a rising Lebanese singer, and a former participant on The Voice in France. Touma is trilingual, speaking Arabic, English and French, but sings primarily in English. He is best known for singles Walk Away and Break Your Heart.


DAY TWO (FEBRUARY 9) DOORS OPEN AT 4PM

Kesha

Kesha is an American singer-songwriter, who is known for her vivid fashion, eccentric pop stylings and versatile voice. She topped the charts with Tik Tok, We R Who We R and Timber. Kesha recently released her third studio album Rainbow, and an emotional lead single, Praying. Both were nominated for Grammy Awards.

Marshmello

Electronic dance music producer and DJ Marshmello, born Christopher Comstock, recently gained global recognition. He broke into the Billboard Hot 100 last year with his song Alone. He is also known for his remixes. He released his debut album Joytime in 2016.


Bebe Rexha

Bebe Rexha is an American singer, best known for collaborations such as Me, Myself & I with G-Eazy, Hey Mama with David Guetta, and In the Name of Love with Martin Garrix. Last year, she featured on the song Back to You with Louis Tomlinson. Rexha also writes songs for other artists, including Rihanna and Eminem’s smash hit The Monster.


Craig David

Craig David is an English singer-songwriter. He’s most notable for his early work, including the singles Re-Rewind, Fill Me In, 7 Days, Walking Away and What’s Your Flava? He ventured off into DJing before making his return to the pop scene in 2017, with the singles Heartline and I Know You (ft Bastille). He will release his album The Time Is Now this year.

Tickets start at Dh395 for a single day and Dh695 for the weekend. Tickets available at Virgin Megastore and on Ticketmaster

Timings: Thursday 8th – Doors open at 6pm
Friday 9th – Doors open at 4pm
Doors close at approximately midnight on both days

Children under 2 get free entry with a valid ID

No professional cameras or video cameras will be allowed into the venue

Food and beverages are available at the venue

Pets are not allowed

Lastly, and most importantly: Selfie sticks are not allowed and will be confiscated.
