Khartoum: The Zayed Heart Humanitarian Mobile Hospital is maintaining its humanitarian initiatives in Sudanese villages to provide free diagnostic and treatment services for children and elderly heart patients.

This phase of the programme, which begins on Tuesday, is being implemented in partnership with the Zayed Giving Initiative, Saudi-German Hospital, Dar Al Ber Society, and in collaboration with the Sudanese ministries of Health and Social Security and the Sudan Heart Institute.

The initiative comes within the framework of boosting joint work between UAE and Sudanese health and humanitarian institutions to reach one million children and elderly people in various provinces and villages in Sudan.

Dr Adel Al Shamri, chief executive of the Zayed Giving Initiative, praised the efforts of the UAE and Sudanese government and private sectors for their logistical and technical support to enable the mobile hospital and volunteer cadres to provide the best services.
