Hope rises again, for news on Malaysian airline… Reports started coming in late Wednesday, of a piece of aeroplane debris found on the island of Réunion, in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Madagascar. Although the island is approximately 6,115km away from the last known location of MH370, news reports stated that the wreckage matched the make and model of the Malaysian aeroplane. Many tweeps were hopeful the new findings could finally shed some light on what happened to the aeroplane that went missing in March 2014.

#MH370 – The hashtag was revived on twitter, as social media users discussed the possibility of finding the plane.

@FidgetGray: “#MH370 Let’s hope it’s debris from this plane because families would be on the way to some answers to this tragedy!”

@bchrisphotos: “For families’ sake, let’s hope this is #MH370. #closure”

@jonostrower: “For those of you watching at home, Reunion Island is really, really, REALLY far from where search teams have been looking for #MH370.”

@alexfrance: “Aircraft are built to run 20+ years with minimal maintenance. The wings especially are resilient, a year in the sea is nothing.”

@keithwms: “@alexfrance Sure, but this isn’t a message in a bottle: it’s a corrodible, damaged piece - Most of the distance likely covered in the air?”

@Adz_M_: “It’s a piece from a #Boeing777 in the area they think it went down. How many other 777’s have gone missing in that area? Has to be #MH370.”

@pankekuro: “There is hope . A partial wing, a battered suitcase, what next? A prayer and a confirmed ID for #MH370…”

@Wise_Craic: “Standby for the conspiracy theories… #MH370”

@Tradeworthy: “It looks like mother Nature is finally ready to reveal to us the fate of #MH370.”
