Today’s poll is based on the page A4 report, ‘Your phone’s nothing less than a lifesaver with the right apps’, published in the Nation section of Gulf News on August 20.
Three of ten Gulf News poll respondents said they could not do without the chat apps on their phone. Most smartphone users around the world would agree — six of the top ten most used apps globally are messaging apps, according to US-based venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB).
It’s worth noting that absolutely no poll respondent cared about fitness tracking apps. With the rise of wearable activity tracking gear, perhaps people are moving to other devices for this function. What’s your favourite app on your phone?
