One of the stars of the new ‘Ghostbusters’ film, Leslie Jones, has been bombarded with racial comments on Twitter for her part in the new movie. Jones shared some of the abuse she received on her account Monday evening, which ranged from blaming her for Aids to comparing her to a gorilla. The Ghostbusters trailer became the most ‘disliked’ video in YouTube history following an online campaign which has given the video more than 950,000 ‘thumbs down’ so far.
@Lesdoggg: “I feel like I’m in a personal hell. I didn’t do anything to deserve this. It’s just too much. It shouldn’t be like this. So hurt right now.”
She started reporting the racist comments and highlighted that people should not misuse free speech on social media.
@Lesdoggg: “Twitter I understand you got free speech I get it. But there has to be some guidelines when you let spread like that.”
In response, late Monday night, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey reached out to Jones:

Darlie Brewster: “And just so you know,I LOVE LESLIE JONES! I cheered when she made full cast member. She is my favorite player on SNL. That Milo the talentless creep attacked her is beyond belief.”
