No decorum at public places
Gulf News reader Prashant Menon took this picture at a bus stop on Zabeel Road, Dubai, as he wanted to create awareness about how people should avoid misusing the facilities provided. Menon said: ‘When I saw people sitting at the bus stop in this very disrespectful manner, I did not like it. I think they need to maintain decency and appreciate initiatives by the authorities for providing comfortable facilities at the bus stops.” He said people also abuse the facilities by littering and sticking chewing gum inside the bus stations. He added: “In order to stop such practices the authorities should monitor the bus stops through cameras or put up notices inside the stations listing rules that should be followed, just like they do in the Metro stations.’
