FGB is putting me in a difficult situation by not giving me a clearance letter. I have had a credit card with them since 2013. They filed a case against me for non-payment and then, I finally paid all my dues in order to close the case.

On October 11, 2013, I settled the outstanding amount and they sent me a letter confirming the payment of my credit card dues. Now, they have been refusing to give me a clearance letter or ‘no liability’ letter. I have visited their main branch several times and spoken to a person responsible for the issuance, but to no avail.

I need my clearance to go ahead with my plans. I have already paid my debts, so why have they not given me my clearance letter? Please help me with my predicament, Gulf News. I am tired of going to their head office and calling their call centre. All I want is my clearance letter so that I can go ahead with my life.

From Mr Nelson M. Caballa

Dubai

On July 4, I received a call from FGB informing me that they will send me the clearance/no liability letter at my registered email address. I thank Gulf News for its support and intervention.
