I am sure it was not intentional, but I am surprised that the article on Emirati Women’s Day didn’t have a single Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi or Sri Lankan woman featured (“Guides: 15 women reveal why they love living in the UAE”, Gulf News, August 28)! Strange, considering how many women of these nationalities live and work in the UAE. The reporter should have made more effort and honestly, even though I’m sure it wasn’t intentional, I find it quite shocking! I am an avid Gulf News reader and dissapointed by this.

Thank you for your feedback. We always ensure there is as much diversity as possible in our articles. This time, there seems to have been an oversight. We apologise that the article did not include a female representation of Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis or Sri Lankans in the UAE. We have taken your comments into account and will most definitely make sure to include a more diverse audience in any similar stories that we write in the future.
