Abu Dhabi: From 2010 to 2015, the UAE-South Korean trade recorded Dh122.7 billion of which Dh115.8 billion was the volume of the UAE’s imports from Korea and Dh5.6 billion the UAE’s exports to Korea, the UAE-South Korea customs committee announced on Sunday during its second meeting.

The mutual committee revealed that the UAE-South Korea trade movement has witnessed a very significant progress from 2010 to 2015 where the UAE’s re-export volume reached Dh1.3 billion.

Commissioner Ali Al Kaabi, Head of the Federal Customs Authority, led the UAE’s delegation to the meeting held in Seoul for two days during which both sides (UAE and South Korea) discussed the bilateral cooperation and ways to activate the mutual technical and administrative cooperation in customs matters agreement.

Al Kaabi said that the UAE-South Korea economic and commerce relations run very deep thank to both countries’ keenness on boosting their relations by exchanging expertise and experiments in the field of customs so as to enhance their inter-trade relations .
