Riyadh: The 15th Joint GCC Defence Council meeting concluded yesterday in Riyadh with the participation of GCC ministers of defence.
Mohammad Bin Ahmad Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, led the UAE delegation, which included a number of key military officers and officials at the ministry.
In his speech at the beginning of the meeting, Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence, said, “We look forward to discussing all topics on the agenda of the meeting and putting these into effect.”
They also discussed a number of issues related to coordination and cooperation among GCC security authorities to address security threats, especially terrorism.
