Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the launch of an air bridge to deliver emergency aid to Palestinians in Gaza.

Following Shaikh Mohammad’s directives, a Boeing 747 cargo plane carrying 114 tonnes of humanitarian aid arrived in Marka international airport in Amman early morning on Monday.

The move is in solidarity with the Palestinians who suffer from difficult humanitarian conditions under the ongoing Israeli aggression.

Meanwhile, relief and humanitarian agencies operating in the International Humanitarian City in Dubai have embarked on the mission to send relief supplies to people affected by Israeli aggression.

Relief supplies have been donated to the United Nations Relief Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to distribute them to the displaced families in Gaza.

UNRWA Commissioner General Pierre Krahenbuhl thanked Shaikh Mohammad for the great support for the UN agency
