The power of social media has driven Wings of Angelz to get the work done and to have much hope for their future endeavours.

Kalra said: “I go to places that don’t have access and we take photos, we post them on social media because social media is so big now.”

Through the use of social media – mostly Facebook - volunteers and those aware of the social initiative are encouraged to post pictures of places that need wheelchair accessibility. From there, Kalra follows up and works with businesses to improve accessibility. They have around 1200 Facebook likes.

Wings of Angelz give simple instructions for those who wish to help. They say: “Whenever you visit a place that does not have a ramp/wheelchair access: 1. Click a picture; 2. Post it on our page; 3. Tag the organisation.”

Not just through Facebook though. Volunteers can also use Twitter and Instagram to raise awareness about certain places.

If you would like to help Wings of Angelz in their social initiative in Dubai, like their Facebook page (wingsofangelz), share their Facebook page and follow the simple three-step process to get the word out. You can find them on Twitter @wings_of_angelz or on Instagram @wingsofangelz.
