Dubai: The build-up rides for the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge continued with more than 500 cyclists taking part in the second of four events on Friday morning before the actual 92km race on December 11.

Excitement for the largest cycling event in the Middle East is building and Friday morning cyclists covered 45km at the Nad Al Sheba cycle track, further testing their training for the big event in December.

A spokesman for the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge said: “Today’s event has been a huge success and it’s great to see the wonderful community atmosphere and the motivation from all levels of cyclists. The build-up ride concept is the prefect platform to practice safe cycling in Dubai and give everyone the support they need as they continue with their training.”

Juniors also have the opportunity to be involved in the cycling weekend with dedicated 15km and 30km junior rides on December 10.

Colette Shannon, Communications Manager, Spinneys Dubai LLC, said: “It’s great to see so many enthusiastic cyclists turn out for the second build-up ride this morning and we are urging all our customers who want to live a healthy and fit lifestyle to get involved in this great initiative.”

The third 65km build-up ride will be held on October 30 while the fourth and final build-up will be an 85km ride on November 27 at the Al Qudra Cycle Path. Register cane be done for the events at www.cyclechallenge.ae.
