Juliet Castell and Victoria Buerk have won the season opening members tournament at Jumeirah Golf Estates, The Ladies Hidden Partner Betterball.
The format of the day was a ladies hidden partner betterball with each golfer playing Individual Stableford and a blind draw after to determine their partner.
The Ladies had a winning score of 43 Stableford points as the pair dove tailed perfectly. Juliet scored well on holes 1 & 2 with back-to-back eagles. While Victoria managed to score well through holes 4,5 & 6 scoring net birdies on all three holes.
The winning score of 43 points was infact matched by Lady Captin Evelyn Downham and Marta Balaguer but they lost on countback. Six net birdies for Evelyn and Marta’s highlight came on hole 11 with a net eagle!
Whilst concluding the prize-giving presentation, Adam Stastny, Assistant Golf Services Manager, commented, "Congratulations to our prize winners today and thank you for participating in the first ladies’ event of the season and I am looking forward to the weekly competitions.
