Dubai: Embattled England football captain John Terry’s wife has flown into Dubai on Saturday night with their three-year-old twins in order to stay away from all the prying eyes of the media back home. They are believed to be camping at The Palm, where the family owns a villa.
A report in The Sun says that Toni,28, is so devastated after the revelation that her husband had been cheating with the girlfriend of his England teammate Wayne Bridge that she left for Dubai having told him: “I want a divorce.”
The couple had honeymooned here in 2007 and had been often spotted at the malls during off-season. Toni’s mother Sue Poole and the twins, Georgie John and Summer Rose, are with her.
She is now considering hiring top divorce lawyer Fiona Shackleton in a bid to land half of defender Terry's massive fortune.
Terry was ironically was voted Dad of the Year in 2009. The Chelsea and England star is believed to earn more than £8million a year, including £170,000 per week in wages.
Friends said Terry’s wife was shattered by the news that he had romped with Vanessa Perroncel twice a week for four months but the final straw was, according to the British tabloid, that he arranged for the French lingerie model to have an abortion after getting her pregnant.
