Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, opened on Tuesday the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.

He was accompanied by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The three-day event will be attended by nine heads of state, 12 ministers, four Central Bank Governors, 181 role players, and about 2,000 delegates from more than 100 countries.

Heads of government and heads of state attending the event include Dato’ Sri Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia; Nursultan Äbishuly Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan; Md Abdul Hamid, President of Bangladesh; Ray Kala Xanana Gusmao, Prime Minister of Timor Leste; Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister of Luxembourg; Danny Faure, Vice-President of Seychelles; and Azim Ebrahim, the Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan.

Dr Ahmad Mohammad Ali, President of Islamic Development Bank, will also attend.
