Popular Indian television actors such as Ssharad Malhotraa and Jay Soni have picked their favourite Shah Rukh Khan dialogues to wish the superstar, who will turn 51 on Wednesday.

Khan began his career in showbiz from the small screen with Fauji in 1988 and is considered one of the best examples of those who have moved successfully from TV and made it big in Bollywood.

Here’s what the TV actors had to say ahead of Khan’s November 2 birthday:

Ssharad Malhotraa: SRK is a superstar who is made of the stuff dreams are made of. I wish him grand success for all the years to come.

Favourite dialogue (from Devdas): Kaun kambakht bardaasht karne ko peeta hai ... hum toh peete hai ki yahan par baith sake, tumhe dekh sake, tumhe bardaasht kar sake.” (“Who the [expletive] drinks to endure... I drink so I’m able to sit here, so I can watch you and so I can endure your presence”).

Asmita Sood: SRK is the best and I’m a huge fan. For his birthday, I wish him a long and successful career.

Favourite dialogue (from Kal Ho Na Ho):Aaj ek hasi aur baant lo ... aaj ek dua aur maang lo ... aaj ek ansoon aur pee lo ... aaj ek zindagi aur jee lo ... aaj ek sapna aur dekh lo ... aaj ... kya pata, kal ho naa ho.” (“Let’s share another smile today... Let’s plead with God again today... Let’s hold back our tears again today... Let’s live a lifetime today... Let’s dream again today... today... Who knows, if tomorrow will come or not.”)

Laksh Lalwani: Shah Rukh Khan is an achiever and lives life on his own terms. I wish him success and happiness on his birthday.

Favourite dialogue (from Om Shanti Om): Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho to puri kainath usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.” (“They say if you wish for something with all your heart, then the entire universe tries to help you achieve it.”)

Dhruv Singh: I love Shah Rukh Khan, and a classic SRK favourite of mine is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) because it’s very romantic and has a cute message. I wish him a very grand birthday and lots of good luck this year.

Favourite dialogue (from DDLJ):Aise bade bade deshon mein choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain, Senorita.” (“Such little things do happen in such big countries, Senorita.”)

Jay Soni: A very happy birthday to Shah Rukh sir who is a true superstar and an inspiration for a billion-plus people.

Favourite dialogue (from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai): “Hum ek baar jeete hain, ek baar marte hain, shaadi bhi ek baar hoti hai, aur pyar ... ek hi baar hota hai!” (“We live once, we die once, we even marry once; and... we also love just once.”)

Dalljiet Kaur: I wish Shah Rukh Khan a very happy birthday and a whole lot of luck for his upcoming films.

Favourite dialogue (from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham): “Zindagi mein agar kuch banna ho, kuch haasil karna ho, kuch jeetna ho toh hamesha dil ki suno. Aur agar dil bhi koi jawab na de toh aankhen band karke apni maa aur papa ka naam lo. Phir dekhna har manzil paar kar jaoge, har mushkil aasaan ho jayegi. Jeet tumhari hogi, sirf tumhari.” (“If you wish to be someone great in life, to accomplish something, to be a winner, then listen to what your heart says. And if your heart doesn’t say anything, then close your eyes and remember your parents. You will then be able to conquer every milestone, every difficulty will become easy. Success will be yours, only yours.”)
