His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has called on everyone to honour mothers on the day of his accession.

    A mother's love is beyond compare. Her personal sacrifices for the sake of the family is unwavering and her love is unparalleled. My mother taught me volumes of life's lessons which help a lot in my transformation of becoming a productive individual. What I am today I owed it from my mother. She will and always be remembered with fondness in my heart. My mother mean the world to me. She inspired me in a lot of ways and there was a sense of pride in her when I marched proudly during my university graduation in La Salle for my bachelor's degree. Giving premium on education is one of the best ways I could show my appreciation to my mother for her hard work in order to give the best for their children whatever it takes aside from remembering special occasions which is very dear to her. Moreover, being an affectionate son to both my parents especially to my mother, being a responsible brother to my siblings, being a reliable uncle to my nieces and nephews, being a nice friend to my comrades, being a good fellow to my neighbors are better ways in honoring our mother because it will simply reflect that I instilled those influence from her. I love my mother for all of my tomorrows!

    Many things and many people in life have mattered to me and affected me in some profound, meaningful and permanent way. However, there is one person who has done more for me than anyone else -my mother. Almost everyone thinks that their mother is the best one and they cite thousands of wonderful reasons that make them feel this way. Even though I believe that my mother is great, I never mean to imply that she is better than others. She is, however, better for me. She is always there for me and took care of me when I was a child. But the relationship we shared as I got older was more important. We tend to neglect our mother’s advice as we hardly get time to sit down and talk to her. How can I not thank her for everything? I am glad that she is still living with me.

    This might sound funny, but i think our mothers need care and affection more than anything. At this age my mother falls ill on and off with viral fever and i am not able to get a health insurance for her as she has exceeded the age of 65. I would request HH Sh. Mohammad to give free health insurance to expatriate women after the age of 60. A healthy mother leads to a healthy family.

    Mothers are nuturers by Nature. Mothers make sure that their children are safe and happy throughout their childhood. It is the unconditional love that a mother feels that drives these feelings. It is hard to describe the feeling that a mother has towards her children. Thus, it gives back this unconditional love, we can show it by spending quality time with her which will be the most cherished gift or making a handmade card with a special note which would express the gratitude towards her support and caring.

    My mother is the essence of a real woman. She is the light in our home. The person who teaches us how to be a nice person in a real sense. She is the one who I lean whenever I have difficulties in life. She is the one waiting for me and offer me to eat when I come late at home. During rainy days she reminded me to bring umbrella in order not to get wet from the rain. Whenever I am sick, she is the first person who also feels the pain that I felt. My mother is an undying love, a love beyond compare, the one you take your troubles to, she is the one who really cares. I do not know what and how ife could be without her. I love my mother so much.
