The efforts of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to preserve various Islamic disciplines and the Al Azhar project fall under this category. The assignment, according to Shaikh Mohammad, seeks to document, electronically and through a dedicated website, scientific works as well as the rich legacy of Arab scientists to provide Muslims and others of different faiths a chance to garner knowledge. In this context Islam has a lot to teach those who are willing to learn so that they may grasp and savour the magnificence of its doctrines.
