Abu Dhabi: The UAE is participating in the 42nd session of the General Conference of the Arab Labour Organisation (ALO) to be hosted by Kuwait between April 18-25. Saqr Bin Gobash Saeed Gobash, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Arab Labour Organisation, is leading the UAE delegation.
Participants in the pan-Arab conference will debate a range of labour issues including settlement of labour disputes and its role in forging stable labour relations. They will also discuss a report prepared by ALO Director-General, Ahmad Lokman, on the role of social dialogue in materialising an alliance for development and employment. Other topics include previous recommendations and resolutions issued by the ALO and the previous edition of the conference.
