Dubai: The Pakistan Youth Forum (PYF) Dubai will distribute handmade paper bins across UAE schools, including Pakistan Education Academy, Dubai, and Pakistani Islamia Higher Secondary School, Sharjah, in February as part of their Recycling Stars Initiative.

The Recycling Stars initiative aims at developing a sense of responsibility among young people toward their environment. Students from the schools will be encouraged to recycle as much paper as possible during the campaign.

The Recycling Stars started as an online campaign on January 24 and will officially launch at schools in February, according to the statement issued by the Pakistan Association in Dubai (PAD).

“As part of our execution strategy, we included an online campaign discussing the importance of recycling paper, followed by deploying handmade bins in selected schools in the country,” Siham Arif, Information and Communication Secretary at PYF, which is a Wing of the PAD, said.

The winning school will receive a certificate of appreciation from PAD. The collected waste will be donated to various environmental organisations in the country.
