Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) and Farmers Service Centre (FSC) officially launched Zera'atona ("our agriculture") campaign Tuesday to achieve sustainable agriculture strategy.
Senior officials explained the plans to minimise water consumption, chemical fertiliser and pesticides as part of the sustainable agriculture strategy at a press conference at ADFCA.
Local produce
They also detailed the measures to promote locally produced vegetables and fruits in the UAE market.
ADFCA has set mew targets to improve the productivity of farming in the emirate, they said.
