Dubai: Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, visited the Airport Security Department at Dubai International Airport to acquaint himself on the inspection procedures on the flights to the US.

Maj-Gen Al Merri visited Terminal 3 and checked the inspection procedures on the flights from Dubai to the US.

He was accompanied by Major-General Ahmad Mohammad Bin Thani, Assistant to the Dubai Police Chief for Ports Affairs, and Brigadier Ali Atiq Bin Lahej, director of Airport Security Department.

The visit came after the ban on electronic devices on board Emirates flights to the US was lifted.

He said the ban was lifted because of the wise policy of Emirates airline as it is always keen to provide the best safety and security procedures on-board its flights.
