Scores of students in the UAE who cleared their A-level exams said their grades have qualified them to study in their preferred universities and majors. The A-level results were announced on Thursday.

Getting good grades in A-level exams is important for students as it determines if they will get accepted to their dream university or not.

Scottish Robyn Hunter, 18 told Gulf News her grades have qualified her for admission into University of Glasgow to study law. The Dubai British School (DBS) student who received two A* in English and psychology and a B in Math, said:

I advise students to remember that even if you get bad results it is not the end of the world. You can turn your grades around if you put some effort in doing so,” she said.

British Luke Jewell, 18, also from DBS got accepted to his dream university Kings College in London. Jewell received one A* in History and two A’s in politics and economics.
