Islamabad: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) opened two schools in Pakistan as part of the Year of Giving initiatives to support the education sector and strengthen the country’s capabilities in areas that have been hit by natural disasters in recent years.

The ERC opened a secondary school for girls consisting of 12 rooms, as well as administrative offices, laboratories and health facilities in Miani Bandi, Muzaffarabad. The school was equipped with furniture, computers and other teaching aids, and will accommodate 300 students.

In addition, a primary school was opened in the village of Bay Bala in Mansehra province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
