Dubai: The Mohammad Bin Rashid Charity and Humanitarian Establishment has distributed 360 tonnes of food to around 4,600 families in Somalia.

The aid consisted of staple foods like rice, flour, sugar, oil, milk, in addition to dates and baby milk formulas.

Ebrahim Bu Melha, deputy chairman of the Establishment’s board of trustees, added that a delegation was sent to Somalia to supervise the distribution of aid, and oversee the coordination process pertaining to the aid distribution operations in affected areas, such as Hargeisa and Gabiley, where many people are impoverished.

Bu Melha said that the aid is being delivered in coordination with partners in Somalia.
