Dubai: Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has granted a wish and passed his cloak to a Lebanese woman who wished she had the cloth after the war, according to Hezbollah's Al Manar TV.

Reem Haidar revealed her new possession in an interview with Hezbollah's Al Manar TV. She praised the Lebanese resistance and its leader for the steadfastness in the face of Israeli troops.

Reem initially wanted to cut the cloak into small pieces and distribute them among people to spread pride and dignity.

The surprise

Reem, like many others, was sure of victory, but was surprised to know that Nasrallah remembered and made her wish come true.

"After the war came to an end, I received a phone call informing me that the cloak was kept in a certain place to be picked up," Reem said. She said that she was welcomed and handed over Nasrallah's cloak.

"I received thousands of calls from people inside and outside Lebanon, asking me to give them a piece of the cloak as I said I would do," Reem said. But it was heartbreaking for her to cut the cloak and Reem eventually decided against it.

"But my door is open for anyone wishing to see it," she said. The Iraqi cloak is traditionally worn on happy occasions.
