SHABWA — An Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) team situated in the Shabwa governorate of Yemen has affirmed the importance of the implementation and delivery of humanitarian projects and relief aid — both food and medical — to the governorate’s directorates.

The provision of medical aid is a priority on the ERC’s agenda, which also reflects the spirit of camaraderie between to the two nations, especially in light of the difficult circumstances that Yemen is currently undergoing as a result of the Houthi coup.

The Head of the ERC team in Shabwa, Mohammed Saif Al Muhairi, visited the Azzan Hospital in the Mayfah district, as part of the campaign’s relief efforts.

Al Muhairi explained that the visit is in response to the needs of individuals within the directorate. He also praised the humanitarian role and efforts exerted by medical staff and management at the hospital, despite the difficulties they face during the crisis.
