Dubai: A newly published handbook will help visitors and residents in Dubai navigate three months of activities being offered as part of Summer is Dubai festival, organisers announced yesterday.

The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism, and the organisers of Summer is Dubai have published an official guide about the three month long summer campaign in multiple languages including Arabic, English Russian and Chinese.

The 84-page handbook is filled with useful information on the numerous events and activities and handy tips that will help visitors to Dubai plan their stay during the various phases of Summer is Dubai as well as guiding them to key attractions in Dubai, the world-class facilities and services.

The official guide provides details of all the festivities, special occasions, cultural activities and celebrations that are a feature of Dubai’s annual summer season. Dubai Summer Surprises, Modhesh World, Ramadan in Dubai and Eid in Dubai — have now come under the umbrella of “Summer is Dubai”. The guide, one of the communications tools being used by DFRE to promote Summer is Dubai, has been distributed in several locations across Dubai including the Dubai International Airport, hotels, participating shopping malls, and other areas visited by tourists and DSS visitors.

The official guide includes a message from Laila Mohammad Suhail, CEO of DFRE, welcoming visitors to the emirate and assuring them that the handbook will assist them during their stay and also help them explore the various facets and global tourism landmarks of the city.

The handbook will provide information on various malls, the shopping-linked raffle promotions and spa promotions.

A list of hotels participating in the summer campaign with exciting offers and discounts will also be included in the handbook and a map of Dubai Metro which will help visitors travel across city easily.
