Dubai/Hyderabad: The UAE citizen, who went missing in Hyderabad for more than a fortnight, was reunited with his family on Tuesday afternoon.

Saleh Rashid Ali Salesh Al Abdouli, 47, was found loitering on the streets in Hyderabad, surviving on whatever people gave him.

Saleh’s relative in Fujairah, Ahmad Al Bastaki, told Gulf News that the police in India launched an investigation following a complaint from Saleh’s wife.

Police inspector N B Ratnam told the Gulf News that Al Abdouli was found at around 4pm in Karwan area of the city. “He was found by his wife Imtiaz Bano and the family members,” Ratnam said.

Al Abdouli, a retired policeman from Fujairah, had left his in-laws house on July 29 for a morning walk. “But he lost his way and could not find his way back as he did not know any language other than Arabic,” Ratnam said.

Al Abdouli is expected to return to the UAE on September 7.
