  • Syeda Noor Amina welcomes her father Syed Nisar Ahmed who went missing last Friday.

Dubai: Syed Nisar Ahmad, the 78-year-old Indian man who went missing from his daughter’s home in Sharjah on Friday, has been found.

Syeda Noor Ameenah Nisar, Syed’s daughter, told Gulf News that she received a call from Al Heera police station on Monday afternoon saying that they had found her father.

“I saw him and spoke to him and he is fine, just tired from the humidity and sun.” Syeda said. “I am really happy that we finally found him. Those last few days were really bad for us.”

Syeda said that her father is still unaware that he is in the UAE and still believes he is in India. “He was telling me he was just walking around and that he went for prayers. He said he does not understand how I came to Bangalore [Bengaluru]… I am trying to explain things to him.”

Syed had gone missing on Friday from his daughter’s house in Al Khan area in Sharjah hours after he arrived from India. His daughter and her family had been looking everywhere for him since then and printed pamphlets and distributed these in the area.

Syed will go home with his daughter after police formalities are completed.

KUDOS to Sharjah Police for their sincere assistance. Parents comes first. Understand they make mistakes, but it happens when growing older. We will do the same. I still have my aged parents, and I tell them just demand what you want, especially the food first and I don't winch a wee bit. I just fullfill at the fullest. This lost DAD is back home i am very happy.

Appreciate Sharjah police work. People should take care of their old parents & young kids. They should not leave them alone in any time even at home.

It reminds of my father. I want to share a incident with me when i lost my father in Hyderabad (INDIA). It was early morning I received a call from my mother that my father is missing. Firstly i was shocked when enquired about him my mother said he has gone for FAJR prayed but not returned. I was very hungry that morning searching around places. But to my 6th sense i was remembering SWAGAT HOTEL IDLI in mehdipatnam. It was coming again and again in my mind. I went to that hotel to have IDLI. All of a sudden I found my father there. I dont know What ALLAH has planned for me. Iam very greatfull to ALMIGHTY..

Well done Sharjah Police (Heera Police} for finding the lost person. Thank You. People should be more careful, especially with the elderly and children during summer and at all times. This incident could have been avoided had the family members been alert.
