Detainees embrace Islam

Three men who were held in detention at Al Rifaa Police Station embraced Islam.

According to Lieutenant Riyadh Abdul Rahman Shafie, Head of the Human Rights section at the station, the three decided to embrace the religion after reading some books on Islam. They were from Britain, Nigeria and India.

Lt Shafie said police always conduct religious lectures for the prisoners. Every police station also has a library stocked with books in several languages.
