Dubai: Emirates Wildlife Society in association with WWF (EWS-WWF), is in partnership with the Environment Agency — Abu Dhabi (EAD) and Masdar, and has launched the first phase of the "Heroes of the UAE Private Sector" campaign, asking companies to sign up on the campaign's website.
Signing up will give entrants the chance to win an environmental makeover.
The campaign's Private Sector programme calls on businesses to play their part in tackling climate change by adopting more sustainable business practices.
Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director of EWS-WWF, said: "We hope to guide them [private sector companies] towards becoming more sustainable and more prosperous businesses. Adopting sustainable policies will soon stop being optional, so we are calling on companies to help the community and themselves by adapting early to changes that are likely to be forced on our current, unsustainable lifestyle."
Companies will have a chance to win a green makeover, sponsored by the Emirates Foundation for Philanthropy and etisalat.
