Dubai The quality ratings for Indian and Pakistani Schools in Dubai will be published by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) on Wednesday.

The 24 schools, which were inspected for the first time, will be graded as good, acceptable and unsatisfactory based on performance, giving parents a quality indication of the schools their wards are attending.

The Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) under the KHDA started inspecting the Indian and Pakistani schools in October last year. The schools were exempted from the first cycle of inspections because they followed a different academic calendar which starts in April unlike other foreign and government curriculum schools.

KHDA started the first ever quality framework linked to school inspections last year, and a total of 189 private and public schools in Dubai were put under the scanner by DSIB inspectors. The report which will be published tomorrow highlighting the strong and weak areas of each school, and will include inspectors' suggestions for improvement.
