Dubai: Two Emiratis and a Comoros-Islands national were charged with possesion of drugs after they were caught at the Noor Islamic Bank Metro station.

According to court records, an anti-narcotics squad arrested the three men in October. They were in possession of 7gm of heroin along with other substances, including Tramadol.

Records show the three men were seen getting out of the car by the Metro station. Two of the suspects kept watch while Y.M., the Emirati defendant, picked up the heroin package from under the emergency stairs of the station.

“He threw the cigarette pack away and resisted arrest after we surrounded them,” a police officer told the court. “We found the heroin capsules in the pack.”

Urine tests showed the men were under the influence of various substances including Tramadol, Clonazepam and
Bromazepam. The Comoros-Islands national presented a prescription slip for Tramadol to the court. The next hearing in the case is on March 5.
