Sharjah: Public prosecution received the forensic laboratory report on Saturday of the Kuwaiti student who was allegedly tortured to death by two of his friends last week, Gulf News has learnt.

Rashid Al Omran, Sharjah Prosecutor, told Gulf News that the forensic investigation contains hard data, evidence that can help solve the death of the Kuwaiti student Mubarak Mash’al Mubark, 19.

Sharjah Public prosecution received on Saturday the forensic report from Abu Dhabi which revealed the presence of several injuries and bruises in different parts of the body of the victim. There were traces of burns and it suggested that types of tools, such as a stick, were used to commit physical harm on the young man.

The report confirmed there were no signs of toxins or drugs in the victim’s body.

Sharjah Public prosecution has sent the report to the Kuwaiti consulate in Dubai and they sent it to Kuwait.

Al Omrani said, “two suspects confessed to their crime before the prosecution and they said that they tortured the victim for three days which makes the issue not a mysterious issue. They did not deny what they did.”

“The prosecution is still investigating the murder case and will interrogate the witnesses in the case by the beginning of this week,” he said.

The Sharjah Attorney General is currently analysing video clips which found in the mobiles of the suspects as well as to collect all evidence from their mobile phones, like the phone calls, etc. which will help prosecutors in obtaining the real reasons that led to the incident and to show the truth.”

“The public prosecution is working to solve the mystery behind the case as the victim has been tortured for three days and he had the chance to report the incident to authorities, why he kept silent and what the real motivation which made the suspect tortured him in this way,” he said.
