Grocery stores and tea shops are sending out a confusing message, according to Gulf News reader Bikash Subba. He took this photograph in Al Nasseriya area of Sharjah.
The community reporter said: "The 'no smoking' sign is a message from the authorities, yet stores continue to sell cigarettes. People are being told not to smoke for the sake of their health, but they are still given the option to do the exact opposite."
It is even more significant if one considers the impact this may have on teenagers and children who do not know any better, Subba added.
