I have been working with an Abu Dhabi-based company for 10 years and have seen the different phases of development of the Mussafah area. We have been facing an issue for a long time, though.

The area photographed is packed with scrapped cars, trucks and other vehicles that ruins its appearance.

The authorities are doing so many good things to beautify this area, such as planting trees in the median of the road and making gardens on the roundabout. But still the problem continues.

Many people just leave their vehicles in the vacant space. Additionally, there are so many workshops in this area and since the space inside the workshops is limited, the vehicles are dumped outside their premises.

As it is clearly visible in the photograph, there are several signs that inform people that this is a ‘no parking’ zone. But no action has been taken against the people using the vacant lot. These vehicles are a potential hazard to the public.
