Kuwait City: An expatriate working in Kuwait counted his blessings and his money after they both survived a fire.
According to Al Watan daily, a fire brigade successfully put out a fire that broke out in the room of the building's concierge and ensured there were no deaths.
However, the firemen were shocked to see the concierge afterwards entering the gutted room to look for a pair of shoes. Their amazement at his unexpected attitude ceased when he flashed into a large smile after he pulled out bank notes and started counting the money he had hidden inside the shoes.
The daily said that the fire did not burn the money.
