Manama: A Kuwaiti family celebrating a wedding on Saturday evening set up television sets at the reception hall to ensure that guests keen on the crucial match between football giants Barcelona and Real Madrid do not leave early.
"The sons of Hassan Al Haydar request the pleasure of your company at the wedding of Hassan Adel," a large banner near the reception said. "There are television sets to follow the Classico."
The banner was widely circulated in Kuwait's blogosphere and bloggers posted positive comments.
Millions of Arabs follow the Spanish Liga and are strong fans of either Barcelona or Real Madrid and a match between the two sets their evening plans and dominates their conversations for days.
